Ejima bridge (江島大橋)was constructed in 2004. It is the largest rigid frame bridge (ラーメン橋) in Japan spanning a length of 1.7km, and 3rd largest worldwide. It’s even said to be like a roller-coaster due to its steep increments. The bridge is built so high to allow ships to pass below with ease.
Ejima bridge connects Sakaiminato port city with the Daikonshima district of Matsue Municipality.
Cruise liners also stop in Sakaiminato’s port, making this an option for those with alternative travelling styles! (approx. 30-40 min drive from central Matsue).
This bridge also provides access to Yonago airport (4o mins from Matsue)

wow.. cool nice information.
I wonder why you know so much detail of Ejima Bridge. So, I’m quite sure that not any of Matsue natives knows about the bridge better than you do.
I don’t know very much about the bridge really, just a little info I came across when doing a translation related to Daikonshima a few years ago. There’s actually a few interesting spots over there!
